Social Media
Twitter and Facebook are both huge social networking sites. By creating Twitter and Facebook accounts for our Music Video project, it enables us to entend our audience further by allowing viewers to view our images, clips and leave feedback which will help us target the right audience.
We will keep our audience up to date with our journey of creating our music video by posting clips and images, which they are able to comment on.

We have created a YouTube account to upload footage we film along our journey and therefore will be able to get feedback from viewiers. This will allow us improve our final product.
We have downloaded the app Blogger on our phones which will allow us to access it whenever we need to. Also it is a quicker way of directly uploading posts to our blog if we have photos on our phones, rather than transferring them on a computer.

Location Idea 1
Below is some footage we recorded to get a basic idea of the videos we could capture within this location. We have included simple camera shots and angles due to the unplanned circumstances however this footage allowed us to see that with some technical changes on the day, this would be an ideal location to use in our music video.

Location Ideas
Here are a few photos taken previously of a skate park in London. As a group we have decided this would be a perfect location to use when we film shots of Lucy rapping and shots of people break dancing. As it is a skate park we can use the different levels to make it easier when shooting high angles and low angles also.
This is an alley in bricklane this is perfect for the mise en scene of our video, this also will give us privacy as it is an alley so we can shoot alot of what we need without having to stop quite so much for people to walk past ect.

Moodboard of Initial Ideas
Here we have put together a collection of images that reflect our initial ideas for our music video. When you look at this mood board, you instantly get a strong impact of colour and abstract images and there i believe it is a good way of effectively concluding our main focuses we want for our video.
Nicki Minaj and Azelia Banks are two music artists that have specifically inspired us. We like the extravagant costumes and original ideas Minaj always brings to her music videos and the colour and energy that theses factor bring with it. Moreover, we have included Azelia Banks due to her urban like character and distinctive lyrics and beat found in her videos. We believe that Azelia Banks is the closest icon we can relate to our chosen genre and song and therefore we will research further into this artist to build upon our initial ideas.
There is a clear contrast illustrated in our mood board; Pop and Urban. Our first theme for our music video is based around the pop culture which includes bright colours and an exciting, girly atmosphere. To support this theme we have included images such as multi-coloured powder fights and tie dye patterns. We would like to use these pictures as ideas for scenes and also take the colour schemes we have gathered from our images and put them into costumes. Other images consist of abstract hairstyles and vibrant stage makeup.
On the other hand, the contrasted theme that we also want to include is Urban. This is based around the rough city lifestyle an gives a stronger and more powerful impact on the audience. We believe this will fit nicely with the lyrics in our song and relate the literal meaning of our song title 'Beat Down.' Therefore we have taken images of boxing gloves, graffitied walls and breakdancing which will specifically fit to the drop of the beat and the dancing genre of the song. As the beat of the song is a distinctive feature, We would also like to include a drum and believed that a Military Soldier would be an effective way of displaying this due to their strong status.
Overall, we use this mood board to collect costumes and props for our music video and progress further towards storyboarding for our final ideas.
