Genre:

When thinking about filming a music video it is important to pick a suitable genre. It has to be a genre which you could think of a variety of creative ideas for shots/mise en scene and something that you would be able to lip-sync well to.

 

Make-up:

We used the work make-up in our presentation numerous times because it is important to get the make-up correct so it fits in with the mise en scene, in a music video and short film, as it makes the video more believable and suits the character profiles. For example, dirty mud on a hillbilly.

Angle:

When shooting your short film or music video it is important to use a variety of angles. Then, when filming, this enables you to have extra shots, in case some aren't what you expected them to be. By using a variety of angles it keeps the audience interested whilst making the video more visually pleasing and creative.


Lyrics:
When planning your music video you have to analyse the lyrics of the song to get an idea of what the song is about. It can then help you when filming if you are following the story line of the song; if not, you would be able to pick certain lyrics of the song to relate the imagery.
